Post-doctoral fellow at ERC project FACETS
Giovanni Pennisi is a PostDoc Research Fellow at the University of Turin (FACETS_ERC Project). He holds a PhD in Cognitive Science. The research areas he mainly focuses on are gender and race studies, and theories on disembodiment and dehumanization. In his current project, he analyses how the concept of “Uncanny Valley” can be used to account for the perception of biological faces, and especially of faces of people who belong to racialised and discriminated categories.
